Louise Vind Nielsen
Louise Vind Nielsen (*1984, Denmark) is a Hamburg-based sound and performance artist working in the field of art, sound for theatre and music. In a diverse artistic practice, she explores complex themes, often with a humorous approach. In her latest piece "Akkumulator" (2022) she composes an ever-rising tone based on the voices of children. In her performance "If only I could fuck myself" (2021), she talks about the potential of human self-fertilization, producing an endless flow of milk bubbles. In her film project "In my head it is dark red" (2019) she explores the world of voice-hearing and other psycho-acoustic phenomena. In the piece "Ventilation" (2020) she installs ceiling fans so that their metal blades strike each other, creating a mesmerising cacophony and flow of air.
