Ugne Vyliaudaite is a musician and art historian from Lithuania, living and working in Brussels. She is a part of electronic duo “Ugne&Maria” with Marija Rasa Kudabaite where they experiment with the violin, synthesisers and sampling techniques. Their compositions revolve around down-tempo as well as dance-orientated approach, including multilayering composing principles and improvisation. During the residency at QO2, she will expand the research of limits in violin sounds. Through various chain effects, two pick-up microphones – all combined with samples, synths and field recordings, the violin transforms itself into a distorted polyphonic sound device.
