“I’d like to talk about two strains in my recent work. Both come out of my work with controlled indeterminacy which I write primarily using text notation.

1. Modeling/Alone Together- my conception of sonic activity in our daily lives and its representations or translations within my compositions.

2. Recording project pieces- a series of pieces I have been working on called ‘collections’ over the last 5 years. These pieces are sort of kits which include sets of criteria that I give to musicians to create pieces in recorded form. I will speak about one of the projects I am working on at Q-O2 which is another type of recording project piece entitled ‘cubes.’”
