Lilja María’s practice focuses on exploring connections between art disciplines by incorporating sonic, visual and performative elements in her works. During the residency, she will be working with an audio-visual sculpture called Imaginary Spaces, which she has been developing over the past few months. Exploring themes based on the tension between what is tangible and what is intangible, she will develop an immersive performative installation with the sculpture. Through her research, she will be experimenting with performative elements that reflect the improvisational creativity of a world that is always in the making.
