With the current situation, the residency content will be itself improvised, along the changing possibilities for meeting/live performance.

It might be a translocation of the activities of E42.A8. For a fortnight, E42.A8 would happen outside its native walls, on a more continuous mode. It might help rally some new participants, allow for more sustained developments, confront itself with the constraints of taking place in a city with much more distraction, less nature. What would that result in ? That’s a first interrogation, which would help further define what it usually is.

Beyond that, this time would also allow some sort of forum/symposium to take place, a moment outside to think about the direction E42.A8 might take in the future: more of the same, or changes, interrogating its openness. It would also be a good opportunity to think in terms of architecture: how should we (re)organize space, installations, the combination of private/public spaces, gardens ? How to link music and graphic developments ?

Third point would be to take some time to write down the thoughts about what E42.A8 is : not only a space, not really a group, more of a situation that aims at making improvisation possible.
