After graduating in Art History and undertaking several experiences in the field of contemporary art, Gea Brown begins to take an interest in music, and approaches djing by intertwining sounds of the past and present to create collages of sounds that acquire compositional autonomy.
Her last projects are focused on voice, trying to find a balance between the spoken and narrative element of language and its sound dimension, without one dominating the other. She creates live sets and environmental soundtracks for designers and artists working with dance, theater, performance and video art. She currently lives in Prato, where she works as a sound artist and curator for visual art and sound projects, at SC17 and Lottozero textile laboratories.
Her live set and sound performances have been shown in Contemporary Art Centers and Cultural Institutions such as Villa Romana, Istituto Svizzero di Roma, La Triennale di Milano, Palazzo Strozzi di Firenze. Among the festival she has been invited: Terraforma, Transart, S/V/N, Sonic Somatic, NODE, Nextech.
