Lucio Capece and Ben Vida present a new collaborative composition for electronics, shruti box and slide saxophone. Building on a shared musical language of microtonal harmonic structures, Capece and Vida’s new work utilizes the expanded sonic phenomena of inner ear distortion products, beating, Shepard and difference tones and non-specific sound objects. This work pushes beyond the bounds of typical sonic materials and delves into phenomena as compositional form.
