Tube To Daughter Sea  is a post production residency. In November 2017, Asher Lev created the performance, Tube To Daughter Sea, which concentrates on a resonant meaning, a meaning whose ‘sense’ is supposed to be found in resonance. The piece aimed to be on the edge of a sounding meaning, approaching sound as nothing more than an edge, a fringe and a margin. Tube to Daughter Sea channelled vibrations of the sonorous spaces in which we exist and explored how one can listen to the tone of listening.

After more than a year has gone by since his last performance with this project, Lev feels like it’s the right time to invest in a deep reflection on the themes and methodologies that were the focal point of Tube To Daughter Sea. This, in order to let current states of mind entangle with past events, opening up new possibilities in this resonating exploration of body, sound and the act of listening.

Now, during his post production residency at Q-O2, he revisits the piece, recalling its past, feeling the present and imagining the future of Tube To Daughter Sea. For this informal presentation, he will perform and share some of his findings and collect observations and perspectives.

Artist in residence Asher Lev will work with the invited guest performers Irina Lavrinovic and Ruth Valensi.
