Asher Lev
Born in Canada in 1981, Lev grew up in Israel. He is a performance maker and dancer who has worked for Yasmeen Godder (ISR), Örjan Andersson (SE), Edhem Jesenkovic (DK), Ina Christel Johannessen (NO), among many others. Lev has a B.A. in Sociology/Anthropology and in Islam/Middle Eastern Studies from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem (2012) and an M.A. of Choreography from the Amsterdam University of the Arts (2016). He is interested in experimental somatic practices. Lev’s most recent project (co-authored with Irina Lavrinovic) choreographs a social and physiological entanglement by introducing air as an (i)material to perform with.
