Andrés Navarro García (Murcia, Spain) is a percussionist that focuses his work on the field of experimental and contemporary music. He combines his activity as soloist with ensembles and orchestras. He currently develops most of his artistic activity in Belgium where he has been living since 2017 and where he studied his master’s degree in percussion at the KASK & Conservatorium arts school (Ghent) with professors Wim Konink and Gert D’Haese.
Andrés’s aspiration, as a musician-person, lies in bringing his aesthetic world to all kinds of audiences. This is how he ended up entering the fields of composition, research, teaching and improvisation. 
The first steps of Andrés Navarro as a percussionist takes place in his hometown (La Unión) and Cartagena, later he moves to Granada. In this city he studies bachelor in percussion and at the same time he collaborates with orchestras, bands, ensembles and composers, taking part in several premieres. During his last years in Spain, before emigrating to Belgium, he delves into the world of interdisciplinary art, sharing his music with painters, actors and visual artists through different projects.
Andrés has composed music for theatre, ensemble, dance and solo percussion. His creations have been in some of the most important centers in Belgium such as Logos Foundation (Ghent), Q-O2 (Brussels), MUSICA (Neerpelt) and STUK (Leuven). In 2019 he was selected for the young sound creators program Showcase Emerging Sound.
He has participated in several premieres, pointing up composers such Hugo Morales Murguía, Dick van der Harst, Stefaan Quix, Óscar Escudero, José Nieto and Pedro Guajardo. Andrés has played with several orchestras such as Orquesta Sinfónica de Torrevieja, Orquesta de Cámara de Cartagena, Orquesta de la Universidad de Granada, Joven Orquesta de Málaga.
As a performer, Andrés has performed solo in venues and festivals such as Museo “José Guerrero” (Granada), Sala Verónicas (Murcia), Miry (Ghent), Agora Actual Percussio (Valencia), Palacio Almudí (Murcia), Logos Foundation (Ghent). 
He has been a member or collaborator of ensembles such as Stefaan Quix & The Quixtet, BUBLE DANCE, Ensemble 21, ÉTER, Container Ensemble, G.A.M.E., La Monnaie de Munt.
