WICKED TECHNOLOGY/WILD FERMENTATION
By linking practices of fermentation, feminism and artistic research, Sara Manente is interested in putting together techniques that transform thought, perception and doing (of togetherness) in live cultures and live arts.
For the residency in Q-o2, Sara will work on multilayering and morphing digital and analog sounds for what she calls “mush music”. The idea of changing temperature by changing rhythm is a starting point to play on the edge of perceptual confusion and “sensorial opacity”. She is not a trained musician, but music has always played a very important role in her performances.
