During her residency Rebecca will be focussing on the relationship between the durational, diffuse aspects of sound and how they might be represented on a page. She will be looking at scoring and mapping in relation to ways of reproducing sonic feeling after the fact. She will be exploring the tensions between a live, or « ideal » version, and the second-hand recording or trace, playing with the limits of affect that are carried through sound. This may involve experimenting with typography along with more conventional ways of recording and replaying sound, and translating language.
