MV Carbon is a New York City based, interdisciplinary artist and musician. Her current work explores interchangeability, the human mechanism, perceptive states of consciousness, and the empirical force of nature.

Carbon’s has solo releases on Ecstatic Peace (US) and Discombobulate Records (UK).  She and  Jenny Gräf Sheppard formed Metalux in the 90s (Load, Hanson, 5RC, Veglia) and continue to record and perform together. Carbon was an ongoing member of Bride of No No (Atavistic).  She has collaborated with artists including: Aki Onda, Audrey Chen, Brian Chase, Spencer Yeh, Carlos Giffoni, Charlemagne Palestine, Evan Parker, Henrik Rylander, J Gräf, John Edwards, John Wiese, Lary 7, Lea Bertucci, Lesley Flanigan, Maria Chavez, Mario Diaz de Leon, Nick Zinner, Okkyung Lee, Shahin Motia, Shelly Hirsch, Tony Conrad, Tristan Perich, Twig Harper, Victoria Keddie, Zach Layton,and many more…
