The first goal of this residency is to work on a ca. 40 min composition together with the composer, with the concept of the conquista in mind. We want to make a gradual development by adding musical parameters like instrumentation, rudimental sound, colour, melody, rhythm, harmony, intervals, dynamics and silence into the composition. We will work with both written music and improvisation. It is important to have a good idea of how the composition will work towards the end of the residency, to make some recordings and start working with the dancer for the choreography.
