Patrick Thinsy’s current project is ‘A Smoking Thing’, a combination of a sound installation and live action, using smoking pills and fuses, filling the room with smoke and amplifying / recording / remixing the sounds made during the event. The next step is creating a network of different sized pipes in which the fuses will circulate and be lit, creating a living object, a new instrument, the sound created depending on the size of the tubes. This precise step will be developed during his residency at Q-O2 and will go on at Wiels.
