G.A.M.E. will be bringing work by Maté Zsigeti, Alexander Glyde-Bates and Ben Jameson, who are all PhD students of composers Michael Finnissy, Ben Oliver and Matthew Shlomowitz at the University of Southampton (U.K.). The concert on 11 March is a first public performance of the new works in the presence of the three composers.
The Gent Actuele Muziek Ensemble [Ghent Contemporary Music Ensemble] are a variable ensemble based at the School of Arts Ghent and accompanied by Ictus and Spectra. Today, G.A.M.E feature Yukari Uekawa (saxophone), Tomonori Takeda (clarinet), Camille Guénot (flute), Maria-José Jeannin (harp) and Adam Rosenblatt (percussion).
In the first half of the concert, MACADAM will be bringing work by Michèle Rusconi. MaCaDam are made up of Camille Guénot (flute), Maria-José Jeannin (harp) and Adam Rosenblatt (percussion). This new trio, bringing repertoire that is specifically suited to their strength, will, besides performing new pieces, also focus on work that does not necessarily call on their classical resources.
