Yôko Higashi (1974, Yokohama, Japan) is a performer, vocalist, butoh dancer and choreographer. She has collaborated with Lionel Marchetti, Nicolas Ticot and Frédérick Galiay, and has performed with Keith Rowe, Thomas Korber, Seiji Murayama and Chewbacca (Andrew Daymond and Damien Grange). In 2003 she formed Yokohama Zen Rocks, an electric pop-rock trio, and more recently the duo Octobriana with violinist Agathe Max. hamaYôko is Higashi's musique concrète-influenced electro-pop project.
