Winne Clement, a creator of sound—sound sculptures and woodwinds—has been working with self-harvested native woods for 20 years. Inspired by various traditions and traditional instruments, he crafts new, contemporary sculptures and sounds. Yet, he ultimately seeks his own path, free from folklore and cultural dogmas. Guided by sound and timbre, he searches for the sound from the other side, as the Persian poet Rumi once beautifully described. Trance. Comfort. Purring like a cat. A tangible vibration.
