Roman Van Houtven (Belgium, 1992) is a dancer, performer, maker and dance teacher, living in Antwerp. From 2010 until 2014 he studied at P.A.R.T.S., the contemporary dance school directed by Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker in Brussels. During his education he stayed involved in several projects with fABULEUS (Leuven), Impuls Company (Geel), Dancingkids (Rosas Education, Brussels). After graduating in July ’14, he assisted Libby Farr in ballet classes (Impulstanz, Vienna), he participated in a creation with the STUDIO (Antwerp) and Galacticamendum (Ghent), he joined the P.A.R.T.S.-team as production manager, and tour manager for the PARTS Foundation. In 2015 he dances in Daniel Linehan’s Un Sacre du Printemps (Hiatus, Brussels), he has taught dance workshops around Work/Travail/Arbeid (Rosas and Wiels, Brussels) and he started his own creations (Tweetakt, Utrecht).
