Margarida Albino is a sound and visual artist based in Brussels who works in the interstices of installation and performance through sound and mostly- analog moving image. She has collaborated on different film projects and in 2022, she won the award for Best Experimental Film at Porto Femme Festival, with her first experimental film “depth wish”. Margarida explores resonant objects and materials in space and interdependent systems - combining digital as well as mechanical/analog and more artesanal techniques, in fragile set-ups - reflecting on the usage of the medium itself, also with super 8 projectors. She is involved in social-political and sound collectives in Brussels, she programs multi-disciplinary events and she plays unlikely dj-sets under the blaze nadir.
