Lieven Martens / Dolphins into the Future lives and works in Antwerp. He creates conceptual music that challenges expectations and expands the boundaries of possibility. Through experimentation and mistakes, he uncovers beauty, stories, fantasies, or hard facts. His work explores field recordings and the sociological dimensions of the soundscape and he has been recognized as a key figure in the ambient/new age revival of the past decade. Live performances blend field recordings, ambient, sound art, and modern composition. He has collaborated with Christina Vantzou, M. Sage, and others, and runs the label Edições CN.
