Gernot Böhme
Gernot Böhme studied mathematics, physics and philosophy. His research and publications relate to time theory, classical philosophy, philosophical anthropology and science research. From 1965 he worked as scientific assistant at the University Hamburg and Heidelberg. In the period 1970–1977 he was scientific assistant at the Max-Planck-Institute in Starnberg specializing in the research of living conditions of the scientific-technical world.
Between 1977–2002 he was professor of philosophy at the Technical University in Darmstadt. He acted as spokesman of the post-graduate college ‘Technology and Society’ (1997–2001), received the Denkbar-award for oblique thinking (2003) and became headmaster of the Institute for Practice of Philosophy in Darmstadt.
