Eleonora Vittoria Polato is a composer, experimental musician, and creative technician based in Geneva. Over the last 10 years she has been involved in a wide range of creative activities – experimental electronic music, folk-lo-fi ensembles, sound edition for movies, music for movies and sound design for installation and video art. She developed her most recent sound work during a residency in Iceland (Nes) and this work is focused on analogue modular synthesizers and field recording. The objective of this project is to study how the surrounding sound can become an electronic sound and vice-versa, by working with many layers, constructing and deconstructing sound spaces and playing with the natural acoustics of recordings.
