As a composer I primarily record, transform and organise sounds and part of my recent work focused on organizing recorded sounds which are all-pervasive but seldom noticed (for instance, the sound of clapping, footsteps, suitcases, doors). I also sing, and recently have started to compose pieces which I can perform myself. Performing means you don’t have to listen! Since performing takes all of your energy you have a very public break from the act of listening, something which people always enjoy looking at.
