Caroline Daish
Caroline is an Australian performing artist living in Brussels, since 2000. Her practice centers on improvisation and proximity. She is currently researching binaural microphones & live performance for headphone pieces.
In Belgium she has collaborated in theatre, dance, and film productions, most recently with Myriam Van Imschoot’s polyphonic performance “What Nature Says” and Mette Edvardsen’s ‘living book project’ in Gent.
In Australia, Caroline was co-director and choreographer for Australia’s leading disability youth company, Restless Dance. She has a long time artistic collaboration with Australian film director and composer Jason Sweeney. In 2014 she was awarded Best Actress from Melbourne Underground Film Festival for the leading role in Jason’s feature film “The Dead Speak Back”. Caroline holds diplomas in Education (BA) and Arts Management and has completed post-graduate studies in performance research with a.pass and documentary film with SoundImageCulture. https://carolinedaish.wordpress.com
