Adela Prochazkova
Adela Prochazkova is an independent scholar with a long-term focus on urban soundscape and theory of listening. Her current research projects approach the aural architecture of a city from the perspective of sound studies and phenomenology of architecture. Some of her contributions were published in the electronic magazine of Oxford University students NOISE & SILENCE or Musicologica Brunensia journal. In 2018 Adela Prochazkova was artist-in-residence in Plovdiv, the European Capital of Culture 2019, where she investigated the sonority of local paving and the possibility of its transcription into drawings and graphic scores. She is based in Prague, Czech Republic where she works as a Curatorial Assistant at the National Gallery Prague.
