Description of the workshop:
What is music and what is to be a musician remains an open question for experimental music. In this workshop, participants are encouraged to create their own way of notating sound, allowing for an experimentation with noise and the environment. To compose, in this sense, becomes an active listening exercise where the graphic score is a creative tool for hearing the world. This workshop can function an introduction to experimental music, allowing for the participants to create their own original compositions from drawings that explore the way they hear sound.
