An experimental podcast recorded together with some of the previous residents at Q-O2, around the themes of sound’s recent history, how to document certain ephemeral practices or impermanent objects, individual working processes but also lighter topics rooted in day-to-day life. The interviews were recorded in a spontaneous, unstructured way – while walking together through the city, cooking, having lunch, cracking whips in the park, sitting in the car, or listening to sound.
Featuring contributions by: Sajira Xhrs Galaretta, Selu Herraiz, Anna Kravets, Lia Mazzari, Amber Meulenijzer, Sarah van Lamsweerde, Esther Mugambi & Raoul Carrer and more.
The podcast represents an extension of Jambes, a recording studio based in Jette which functions as a platform for artists working with sound and the voice. Jambes works closely with each artist in order to experiement on a new sound piece, a novel approach or working method. The result is archived on the website: https://jaaambes.be/. Quille podcast is a limb branching out from this practice.
During the residency, Jambes will dedicate time to the mixing and editing of material recorded in the past year and a half into a first episode of the podcast.
