Sander Tas and Danja Cauwbergs work as a duo, because that is what they are in everyday life and because they complement each other well. Danja is a theater designer and graphic artist, until a few years back Sander worked in the super commercial world of television, before stepping out and starting own projects and collaborations. The combination of their personalities generates ideas and the strenght to put them to work in sometimes ‐rough neighborhoods. They work in the city. They use the city as a canvas. They have a need to involve their audience directly, to work with it. In their work, they think it is important that bystanders, visitors, passersby make their comments or intervention on their operations and city comments. Their actions are based on the idea that you, as a citizen, can appropriate the public space.
