In 2014 Stijn received a scholarship from the Flemish Community (Kunstendecreet / Commission Mixed Media) and focused in his solo work, which took shape within Aifoon, on the relationship between listening and movement / being moved. In the contraction of sound art with performance, he has a particular focus on both the conscious and the unconscious listening. In the context of what he calls the art of listening, he created a listening walk Watch Out! (Vrijstaat O / Atelier de Stad – Canvas), and he developed in Marrakesh the project around AudioHacking (Trefpunt). In both examples, he examined how subliminal listening can affect aesthetic by appealing to the physical, spatial and the memory within the listening attitude of people.

Inside his residency at Q-O2 (workshop for experimental music and sound art in Brussels) he, along with some dancers of Ultima Vez (dance company of Wim Vandekeybus), examined the first steps in Listening Trajectories. Listening Trajectories grew from a curiosity to how people listen, particularly how an auditory space is scanned and physical driven by sonically being moved.
