During the residency, I will expand my ongoing research on immersive sound by investigating the relationships between sound material and listening context. Sound is here approached primarily as vibrational matter, formed in its propagation through different speakers’ configurations and materials, and put in relation to light, space and human/non-human body. Being matter interacting with the body, sound is a vehicle of context, thus shaping human perception and experience in strict relation to the conditions of the space of reproduction. The sound material produced during the residency will be blended with the sounding space of reproduction, to cross and expand the listening space, as by listening we inhabit an environment.
