Deze twee muzikanten bevragen de link tussen spelen en opnemen, in het bijzonder de ruimtes waar deze opnames worden gemaakt. Hiertoe zullen ze één week doorbrengen op eenzelfde plaats, werken op deze plaats met als resultaat van hun ervaring een stuk gecomponeerd en opgenomen op deze plaats. De klanken waarin Antres interesse heeft zijn deze die Mathias speelt, deze die Yoann opneemt en deze van de plaats zelf. Om te focussen op de linken tussen allen, zal hun werkwijze als volgt verlopen: in een centrale ruimte worden de instrumenten bespeeld (trombone/mengpaneel), in de ruimtes errond en erbuiten worden een twaalftal verschillende microfoons opgesteld. Het instrumentale, eenvoudig en minimaal, zal worden bepaald door de ruimte waar het werd opgenomen, de soort van microfoon en het moment van opname. De stukken zullen instant gecomponeerd worden, enkel na testen van de mogelijkheden van elke microfoon. De bedoeling is dat de solo die eruit voortvloeit de karakteristieken van de specifieke plaats integreert en belicht. Het concept zou nadien op verplaatsing kunnen worden vervolgd, in een zwembad, school, supermarkt, luchthaven, restaurant, ...



Mathias Forge
trombone

First jazz pianist, he plays now the trombone and tape recorders. He likes collaborating with dancers, visual arts and skaters; or having fun with some sound massages. He plays regularly with Cyril Epinat and Léo Dumont (PQA), Emilie Borgo (Skratroum), Xavier Saïki and Frédéric Le Junter (Sapiens), Olivier Toulemonde and Christine Sehnaoui (CMO) or Mathilde Banguet. He still likes composing or arranging when he’s allowed to or when someone asks him to (Les Arcandiers, L’Ogre, La Baskour, Quatuor Monk). He works on public spaces with Cie Jeanne Simone (Le Goudron n’est pas Meuble) and proposes some events and projects in his natal country with the association MICRO.

Yoann Coste

Yoann Coste, autodidact musician, made audiovisual studies. Specialized in sound works, he’s both a sound engineer for concerts and boom operator on film shootings. He works also as a sound manager for plays. He regularly animates workshops in miking or making sound effects for teens. He practices music in a band and was the singer and guitarist of Patak’s, a music band from Roanne, for 3 years. He meets Mathias Forge in 2003 during improvisation practicing sessions and opens to contemporary dance and experimental movies at the option of meeting. He composes, when friends ask, sounds and music for short films. In summer 2008, he coordinate the direction of a cartoon in Cameroon which he will assume the mixing and sound effects. He will meet cameronian artists with whom he’ll record the music of the short film. Yoann has been working since 2007 as technical manager of Les Arcandiers, a brass band of ten musicians on stage
