During his residence, Stefaan Quix will be working on a prototype of a new audiovisual work inspired by the so-called ‘ultraviolet catastrophe’ which moved physicists in the late 19th and early 20th centuries to extend classical, Newtonian mechanics to quantum mechanics, thus laying the foundation of the more contemporary, fragmentary approach of time and space.
