In march 2006 Q-O2 werkplaats presented a three day music festival in Brussels in the scope of the exhibition ‘a room of one’s own’. (
http://www.aroom.org/)Musicians and composers from Brussels and Berlin were invited to present new experimental work starting from the basic question: “What does our everyday environment/space mean to us?” “how does the space in which we live and work and perform influence our work?” In 2007 Q-O2 presents the ‘Berlin’ version of this festival. The invited artists explore the boundaries of acoustic and electronic music, of composition and improvisation and the explicit role of space/environment in their work.
