Studeerde eerste en tweede fase viool aan het Fontys conservatorium in Tilburg (2000-2006). In 2008 studeerde zij, met grootste onderscheiding, af aan het Koninklijk conservatorium in Gent waar zij een master na master specialisatie solist hedendaagse muziek bij George van Dam volgde. Momenteel is zij werkzaam in verschillende ensembles voor hedendaagse muziek zoals Champ d’Action en het Nadar ensemble. Ook als solist geeft ze regelmatig recitals met hedendaags repertoire. Zo was zij als solist te horen op de festivals November Music en Ars Musica. Daarnaast was zij actief in verschillende muziektheaterproducties en andere interdisciplinaire voorstellingen waaronder Moskou-Petoesjki (Kameroperahuis Zwolle) en Wanja (Traffiktheater). Zowel in eigen als bestaande initiatieven is ze te horen op verschillende festivals en podia in binnen- en buitenland, zoals Transit, Holland Festival, Oerol, Philharmonie (Luxemburg), Flagey, LOGOS Tetrahedron en DE LINK.

Studeerde gitaar en compositie aan het Fontys conservatorium in Tilburg, waar hij in beide hoofdvakken cum laude afstudeerde in 2002. Daarnaast volgde hij compositielessen bij Peter Swinnen in Brussel. Als gitarist is hij, naast medeoprichter en lid van Mr. Probe, lid van het elektrisch gitaarkwartet Zwerm (www.zwerm.be) en het ensemble BEAM. Ook speelde hij in producties als Volume 1 (Cluster klankcollectief), Moskou-Petoesjki (Kameroperahuis Zwolle) en zalen als muziekcentrum Frits Philips, concertzaal Tilburg en DE LINK. Als componist schreef hij veel kamermuziek voor ensembles als Quatuor Danel, Vocaal Lab Nederland, Quink Vocal Ensemble, Egidius Kwartet, de Volharding en festivals als November Music, Gaudeamus, Oerol, YO international youth opera festival en Traces. In 2006 won hij de Berliner Opernpreis, uitgeschreven door de Neukoellner Oper, en in 2004 ontving hij de Anjer Muziekprijs. Ook drong hij in 2007 door tot de finale van de compositiewedstrijd van het Groot Omroepkoor. De laatste jaren heeft hij zich voornamelijk gespecialiseerd in de richting van opera en muziektheater. Zo schreef hij een nieuwe opera voor festival November Music 2009 met librettist Johannes Westendorp en schreef hij twee muziektheatervoorstellingen.

The Belgian / Dutch electric guitar quartet ZWERM was founded in 2007. The starting point of the four musicians of ZWERM is a shared interest for new music: composed, improvised, experimental and performative. The awareness of the similarities between these different elements and the challenge of presenting them in a meaningful way is very important. The electric guitar has proved to be the instrument of twentieth century ‘low culture’ and underground music. Only recently it has found its way to composed music. The gap between these two fields is still big, however. ZWERM operates between these fields. Connecting, using and abusing traditions, ZWERM navigates between all the styles and concepts that constitute the unstable landscape of contemporary music.
