Born in Logroño, Spain, he studied at the music schools of Barcelona (ESMuC) and Rotterdam (CODARTS). Currently lives in Brussels where he takes part of the ManaMa ICTUS Ensemble. In the interest of new music, Ruben has performed in festivals around Europe as the Biennale di Venezia, the 46ºInternationale für Neue Musik Ferienkurse Darmstadt, the Steve Reich Holland Festival, MIXTUR festival of Barcelona, working with composers such as Steve Reich, Pierlugui Billone, Hector Parra, Felix Pastor, Jose Manuel Lopez Lopez and Georges Aperguis. In his career he has played with ensembles as Ensemble Recherche, ICTUS Ensemble or Crossing Lines Ensemble.
