Bram Borloo
Bram Borloo (born in 1976) lives and works in Brussels and studied at Saint-Luc University College in Brussels. Central to Borloo's multi-disciplinary oeuvre is the question about man in relation to his environment and mental space, while the impact of man on his environment is the subject of ongoing research. For each exhibition project (with a specific or open question), a new artistic discipline is studied and applied. In that way, the oeuvre becomes multi-disciplinary, something which is essential to the performance. Not only does it question the technique, we also look for an analogy between the technique of the work, on the one hand, and the content of the question of the relevant exhibition project, on the other. Different disciplines have developed in the course of the exhibition: installation, ‘sound-art’, collage, drawing and painting, photography, video-animated film and digital applications. In addition to these traditional disciplines, the artist has also developed a specific artistic collection, entitled 'the green archives'. These came about alongside the multidisciplinary strategy and include as work-in-progress only green objects that remain green.
