CRANC (London/Athens) (Rhodri Davies - harp, Angharad Davies - violin & Nikos Veliotis - cello / video) will set up an one week audio & video virtual feedback project. Each day's audio recording and video footage will serve as the basis for the audio recording and video footage of the next. They have no idea what the end result is going to sound / look like.

Rhodri Davies
Rhodri Davies plays harp, electric harp, live-electronics and builds wind, water and fire harp installations. His regular groups include a duo with John Butcher, Broken Consort, Common Objects, SLW, Cranc, Portable, Apartment House, The Sealed Knot and a trio with David Toop and Lee Patterson. In 2008 he collaborated with the visual artist Gustav Metzger on ‘Self-Cancellation’, a large-scale audio-visual collaboration in London and Glasgow. He also performs and researches contemporary music. He has commissioned new works for the harp by: Carole Finer, Michael Parsons, Christian Wolff, Ben Patterson, Mieko Shiomi and Yasunao Tone.

Angharad Davies
Angharad Davies is a freelance violinist based in London. She is an active performer in contemporary, improvisation and experimental music both as a soloist and within ensembles. Her classical background (BMus; P.G.C.E; postgraduate study at R.N.C.M. ) lead her to further violin study with Charles-Andre Linale in Dusseldorf, Germany and subsequently Howard Davis in London. Her studies with these two eminent violinists inspired her own teaching practice.
Since making London her base in 2002 she has developed a specific approach to the violin, extending the sounding possibilities of the instrument by attaching and applying objects to the strings or by sounding unexpected parts of the instrument’s body. Her pieces reveal an empirical approach towards musical instruments. She is dedicated to exploring and expanding sound production on the violin.
