Andrea Neumann (Inside piano) and Sabine Ercklentz (trumpet and electronics) have been working for quite some while as a duo and share a common interest in sound research, composition, acoustic and electro-acoustic improvisation. With others, including Antonia Baehr, they have intensively explored the boundaries of working with scores and performativity. Both musicians unravel the relationship with their instruments and examine how man and machine influence and affect each other.


Two existing solos are on the programme: Twins (2012) by Sabine Ercklentz and Erosion (2012) by Andrea Neumann, together with two new pieces: a duet and the filmPionierinnen der Klangforschung.
