Inspired by the notions of indirect listening and blind field recording, during the last few years Pablo Sanz has been focusing on the use of unconventional listening technologies to explore a variety of natural and built environments. Sound transmitted through non-air mediums and hidden acoustic spaces have become an essential aspect in his creative practice.



During the residency at Q-O2 he has been working with an archive of wind and water recordings made on location in The Netherlands, Israel and Slovakia. Exploring the textural patterns and details of the original recordings he used them as raw materials to create a spatial-sound multichannel piece.
